this Dell is making me wanna throw it out the window, it starts fine with the original PSU, but the shitty replacement PSU I got because the stock one doesn't have nearly all the power connectors doesn't even switch on? but bridging the contacts with a piece of wire makes it turn on fine, why isn't this mobo switching the PSU on?

uh okay the computer was giving me random errors with this untested power supply, so I used a different one to troubleshoot and now the untested PSU works less somehow?
