hey, so we're running ubuntu 19.10, with xfce 4.14, proprietary nvidia drivers.
every so often, *usually* when we're kinda taxing the CPU but it's honestly nothing that should be that severe, nor is it consistent, the computer locks up. it won't respond to anything, the keyboard driver shuts down, mouse won't move (we can tell bc our keyboard lighting resets to a hardware stored layout), and it stays locked up for hours, literally until we reboot, with no visible change.
how do we go about diagnosing what the Fuck is happening and how to fix it?
please explain like we're a typical non-technical windows user.
shoutout to whoever wrote this software, there's no name on it but I really appreciate it. I also like that it's version 0.666
update: I installed some random symbian thing called fixqd.sis and it's a lot better, I only get small stutters now
it's a shame that the N-Gage QD has performance problems, every minute or so the framerate goes to shit
it looks and sounds like shit because that's all the hardware is capable of but the menus are super sleek and the gameplay is decent and you can do all the stuff you can do in a console CMR game
Colin McRae Rallye for the N-Gage is, honestly, impressive
lmao SMM local multiplayer lags but playing in a private lobby online with the same setup doesn't
I don't remember whether I've made this joke already this winter but ugh I wish this apartment had better isolation and no metal windowframes
