also the Switch being a handheld makes it imperative to be able to just switch it to Standby, on TV-only consoles that's only just becoming a thing
Like, I think the news tab on the Switch is genius because it's basically free marketing space, and game devs can use it to conveniently put news on user's screens
It's funny how Nintendo absolutely knocked the basic main menu functionality out of the park and everyone else is trying to copy it on their boxes that do so much more than the Switch
and like, sure, even cheaper TVs are 4K now but they're not necessarily gonna be large? Not everyone has a massive home theater setup for gaming, some people don't wanna game on their main TV…

wtf, the PS5 will have walkthrough videos, but you need PS Plus for it? Youtube is free
it's just very no-frills and I like that there's a not-totally-black variant
The Pixel 5 is really pretty in a kind of understated way
