I love that whenever Android connects to a new Bluetooth device, it asks whether you wanna give that device access to contacts and call info, regardless of whether that device can do anything with that info

Apparently, the reason the NHS contact tracing app fell over on my fairphone was because some e users got very concerned about their ~privacy~ so the solution that e came up with was to silently kill the app I was relying on.
My best friend has cancer and I thought I would get exposure notifications which is slightly more life and death than privacy fantasies of fossbros.
They ~silently~ disabled the entire covid thing. I am so livid. This was supposed to be better than google, but in this case they've showed way less sense and responsibility

Oh fuck, Anna Harren (garblefart on Twitter, used to hang out over here for a while too, been struggling with cancer and the fallout thereof for a few years now) died this morning :(
I only talked with her once or twice on social media but she seemed like a rad person. If any of youse were friends with her, I'm so very sorry :(

I saw a fuel cell car yesterday, I didn't know they actually existed, I wonder where you refuel one of those. Maybe the owner works at the local university and can get hydrogen there
