dang, installing Tiramisu (the new Wii U exploit) is a breeze, with uninstalling CBHX and the external hard drive being fussy it took me just over 20 mins to set up

also we really call "having a dark and light mode" "being customizable" now?

the design makes me uncomfortable

• zero separation between the top/bottom bars and the middle, it's the same color without even a line
• where there's separation contrast ratios aren't great
• weird overly rounded corners on everything, especially avatars
• that border that makes my transparent avatar look awful
• animations are on by default

search is a whole-ass tab because gotta put trends somewhere I guess

it's missing core features of the platform

• no public timeline (instant deal breaker for me)
• doesn't show pinned toots
• can't access follower/followee lists
• polls don't have an option to allow multiple answers and you can only add options, not remove them again

I installed the new official Android app for Mastodon and the only nice thing I can say is it feels zippy

I just think it's neat when a screen is just the right format to keep UI out of a video, i.e. a 16:9 video on a 16:10 screen or the volume bar not overlapping the video on my phone

I was simply trying to open a 30 MB pdf from SMB in iBooks

it's kinda funny that the easiest way to move files between the two is a FAT formatted USB drive, like the good old times

Android file management: stock (google files) app is almost useless, the manager app I use is a bit weird but very powerful, for some reason I can't access exFAT drives via USB???

iPadOS file management: if your server is any slower than instant the app will just freeze and you'll be left guessing whether it's doing the thing or just crashing. No way to force close it either :)
