I'm still not used to the gear shifting. Looking forward to when I don't have to think about it anymore but the benefits are obvious, now I can bike up slopes relatively comfortably that made my legs hurt on my old Shimano Nexus
I wasn't too keen on the dark blue but it's rapidly growing on me, it looks sweet in the right light
btw, finally took a decent bike pic feat. the ugly garage at work

I'll post a pic once I take a good one. didn't go quite as expensive as I originally planned but a lot nicer that the old one I've had for over ten years now which would probably need a full rebuild which is beyond my abilities.
finally got a new bike, I almost got everything I need on it (phone mount, nicer saddle, tachometer), gonna get a lock in tomorrow cuz the old one's on the old bike and it's not coming off, those bolts are seized. Now I just need to get used to the 30-speed derailleur, coming from an 8-speed internal gearbox it's not quite as intuitive

a really cool feature apple should add to the iPad is to not have the battery be almost empty every time I pick it up
the "bullets" are heavy and the body is just aluminium so you can really play with the weight distribution
