TIL: Die Begriffe "Stockwerk" und "Geschoss" sind streng genommen in der Fachsprache nicht synonym: ein Geschoss entsteht durch das horizontale Einziehen ("Einschießen") von Querbalken in einen Ständerbau; ein Stockwerk dagegen ist quasi eine in sich abgeschlossene Kiste, die auf andere Stockwerke aufgelegt werden kann, ohne dass es senkrecht durchgehende Elemente braucht.
