I was reading the D&D5 Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica last night and it reminded me how much I love weird random generation tables

There's a set of them for each guild and they're glorious. Gruul gets a "RAAARGHH! (translation goes here)" response to every question, which is really committing to yr theme

I want to run a Ravnica game someday..

Also hope the Age of Sigmar RPG has this much love put into the faction-specific character quirks

Adventures in coming off Quetiapine

Feeling both sleep deprived but also "Wow, this is what clear-headed feels like? I'd forgotten this.." today

Counterpoint: Was feeling "Wow, this is what clear-headed feels like?" at 3am last night and that's aha, um

Calm down plz, gentle brain

Pets, rodent-looking critters

Now I have a stable care setup I do miss Oscar

He went to a good family, and it was the right decision at the time (care stuff took years to get sorted, and I was struggling to handle cleaning upkeep with disability) but still

I raised him from a tiny! He was my good boy.

I hope he's doing okay. 💖

This week on "Age of Sigmar is a very silly game":

For rules reasons, a giant triceratops carrying a howdah full of tiny lizardfolk on its back counts as riding on them, not the other way round

(this lets it strap magic swords to its feet like Bayonetta)

ADHD, depression, fatigue, organisation

I planned to write up a schedule to try and structure my time better but ran into the problem of being too tired to do anything all day

Which feels a bit "that's going to be a problem with this whole idea" since it's more common than not x.x

(idk, input from people in similar positions appreciated, equally just talking out loud)

Played WarCry with an acquaintance today. It was fun!

Both sides got into a massive scrap in the centre board, a lotta peeps got eaten by a snow lion, demons gribbled at each other appropriately

All good stuff

Today has been maximum brainfog

The sorta level where I should really get a spoopy-ass ghost ship to sail majestically out in

Suddenly: teeny tiny plastic bugs

(Emerald Lifeswarm from Age of Sigmar)

I've recently been reading Colour and Light by James Gurney, which is a very good and indepth look into how environmental light affects form & colour. (primarily in painting, but also v. useful for other things)

The first book, Imaginative Realism, was very good also.

I've been going through a really long period of not really listening to music

And not really sure why, it's not intentional

Probably anhedonia + falling out of the habit. Which is the unexciting-but-accurate answer to a lotta these sorts of questions. 🤷

K has never played Bushido Blade 2 and that's probably the one fighting game my wrists could physically handle now

So I really ought to get ePSXe running again to fix that next time he comes over, it's a really wild genre experiment to play with

Mm.. King of Fighters soundtracks.. Good..

*flops*

Hmmm I should probably put some actual writing in my profile rather than just pronouns

No ideas right now, though. Ho hum.

Hi !

I do various creative stuff, usually drawing, sewing stuff or painting miniatures.

On a streak getting back into doing the latter lately, so I'll post some of my minis here!

"The Purple Sun of Shyish", aka "The Grimdark Teletubby Reboot", is a very Warhammer Mood mini

Minis I've painted lately.

This time: Endless Spells

A mechanic in AoS I was on the fence about at first, but it turns out it's a lot of fun and has some cool as heck miniatures
