As Cassini enters the atmosphere, the attitude control thrusters are gonna do their very best to keep the antenna pointing towards earth, transmitting data as for long as is possible to send. I think that's really beautiful
Anyway cassini is gonna dive into saturn on the 15th, after orbiting the planet since 2004.
There really is something emotionally compelling about space probes in general.

Started to play with the Pocket Operator "Arcade" sequencer today and the UI is arcane and frustrating. I figured how to do a couple of things but it kept acting in unexpected, confusing ways.

The "Like"/"Favorite"/what have you button gets maligned sometimes. It's derided as "cheap" interaction. But the people who do this maligning forget, I think, that the "Like" button was invented to solve a problem.
Anywhere a "Like" button is implemented, the Usenet Nod largely goes away.
It's "me too" without the societal disapproval: a way to tell someone "hey, I see this and acknowledge that you posted it". Who cares if it's "cheap"? It's interaction, and that's better than the alternative.
Am I the only one who thinks loss.jpg jokes are incredibly meanspirited?
