@Xkeeper love too write iCal files to schedule repeating things with any level of complexity
friend trouble (+)
@noiob thank youuu..!
(and i will! don't worry!)
friend trouble (------)
@noiob it's true! but we aren't always rational beings, so while it's true i'm not happy with how things went down, i think i'm just going to withdraw any and all support that i give to her unless she specifically asks for it
i don't want to run into a situation like that ever again
i'm pretty sure this isn't where this ends--but if it is, i'll have at least learned how to handle this better
friend trouble (------)
@noiob she's prideful, so my support becomes unwelcome at highly unpredictable times
uh, this was one of those times
i don't know if she was having an especially bad day or what, but after i bought her food, she got Actually Violent
i basically just noped out of there and my mind was racing the entire way home, wishing i didn't offend her like that
sorry to drag down the mood here, but i was already having kind of a bad day because of something else she did
friend trouble (+)
you know what? i can't let this get me down!
nasty things happen sometimes, and continuously living them isn't gonna get me anywhere
i just gotta find something to focus on that i can enjoy--that way i can at least get to a neutral mental space, so i can let my mind process it with a clear head
it makes me sad that my friendship probably won't get out of this unscathed, but holding onto angst is gonna get me nowhere
friend trouble (------)
sorry for dumping this here, but i've never been outright attacked by a friend before, and i don't know how to process it
i feel like i'm just going to stop supporting her like i do, since she clearly doesn't want that
urk, i'm gonna have one heck of a time focusing for a little while
friend trouble (------)
i paid for a friend's food and she just fuckin punched me in the middle of the market for it
after apologizing for this misstep on my part, she said it was alright and then after a few second delay, she elbowed me in the stomach again
i left, and while i forgive her, i'm still so fucking mad right now
food
@noiob enjoy borger
also, good idea. i should probably food sometime soon too
@VoxSomniator this is a good trick
it's so good you can even fool yourself!
sylveon defender
@KS@is.a.qute.dog i'm sorry though, i'll stop doing it--being harmful is the last thing i wanna do :T
is there a way you can think of that we can deal with the transphobia behind this though?
the people behind this are the types of people that would hurt trans peeps, and i really want to do something to resist it
sylveon defender
@KS@is.a.qute.dog oof, i think i see where you're coming from, but your qualms in there kinda read like "not all men", which is a way a lot of people disagree with generalizations–because they know other things exist outside of them
you feel excluded because it seems like everyone is saying that every sylveon is trans, huh?
i know i can't change how you feel about the words, but i don't think anyone means to exclude enbys with this–actually, i had no idea that was even a possibility
sylveon defender
@noiob honestly, i wouldn't be too surprised
sylveon defender
@noiob oh, me too! all three times in fact
i have no idea what's up with that ^^'
sylveon defender
i can't seem to get sylveon defender to add me to their blocklist. hopefully third time's the charm!
getting on a blocklist is pretty high on the list of things i'd never thought i'd hope for, but people who subscribe to something like that are the types of people who would hurt my friends, and i don't want them to ever be able to enjoy the things i make
Sylveon defender
@noiob i haven't made it yet, but maybe soon!
i don't want transphobes to be able to enjoy the things i make
@noiob huh!
it seems like that would solve the problem of coop suddenly making the game Very Easy
@noiob oh my gosh yes, for such limited hardware, the visuals were just stunning!
(i never played 2 though, so maybe i should pick it up sometime!)
@raccoon oh, also, byebug isn't actually necessary for the "binding.pry" thing--it just adds commands like "step", "next" and so on so you can run code line by line
it also gives you "up" and "down" to inspect the thing that called that function
all in all, the idea behind suggesting these things is to make it easy to explore the language, since you can experiment and play around in pretty compelling ways like this
oh hi! i do computers, and sometimes draw stuff~ i like lo-fi things and cute aesthetics!
i also probably like you
