@cinnamon loooool
can confirm, is me
@cinnamon heck yeah!
there's a reason i still play it despite being Very Bad with it~
@codl lesbian sid
@cinnamon ohayou gozaimasu~
@noiob oh wow, WHAT
I just noticed "foreach" on npm is controlled by a single maintainer.
I also noticed they let their personal email domain expire, so I bought it before someone else did.
I now control "foreach" on NPM, and the 36826 projects that depend on it.
@iitalics this is fun with clojure too!
it seems every time i even touch (future ...) i have to throw (doall ...) calls all around it. bonus points if these futures are created in lazy list comprehension
it's really lovely to have nothing happen until you try to resolve it muuuuch later, and have that thread block until it finishes the work it just started now that you asked for its results
hopefully not too splainy
@sara if it helps, if you aren't super-hurting for a position, it's 1000% worth it to be explicit about the things that are important to you, and not to put on a traditional business facade
that will filter out most of the Bad Places you don't want to end up at
it's good to be picky if you can! it's much better if places you interview impress you, rather than the other way around--since you'll probably end up spending a lot of time in the environment you end up choosing
i hope this helps a little! interviews really can play into some nasty power dynamics, so it's super-nifty if you can invert those to find a place you won't hate after a year..!
good luck~ ^^
re: terraria
@cinnamon i just prefer to get my ass kicked regularly~
also theorycrafting is fun! (and it makes sense those two things are recommended)
re: terraria
@cinnamon oh yeah! something like the meteor staff would probably be extremely effective with this setup!
re: terraria
@cinnamon oh, congrats! but also, oh nooo
i imagine it's probably pretty helpful for not landing on death when you run out of flying though! i can think of a lot of uses for something like that~ (like, it would probably be game changing for the triple mechanical boss fight and lunar events)
@monorail hey! you're pretty cool, y'know?
and i'm not just saying that because of this post--you're genuinely absolutely rad, and i hope you can appreciate yourself as much as those around you do..! ^^

I'm in communication with a new Mastodonian who is looking for a "Mastodon app that is accessible to the blind" -- I've asked for clarification as to which platform but I think that any information posted might be helpful to *someone*.
@baslow i haven't researched all the options, but i found that tusky worked leagues better than any of the other things i've tried with talkback (the built-in android screen reader)
i ended up setting it up so all content warnings would start expanded since navigating made it easy enough to hear a warning, and just skip what followed if i didn't want to interact, rather than needing to hit a button if i was interested
i also found the pwas or web were a always a nightmare compared to apps
@sagesharp@mastodon.technology @eldang it was laid out so there was a main theatre where the main talks would happen, so you could see people all just gradually pile in before those began
there were breakout rooms for several topics after talks where you could go and do something extra with others relating to talks you especially liked
there was also a few general hangout areas, one with a stage, and special rooms you could do other fun things in
of course, every connecting hallway between was also social space
@sagesharp@mastodon.technology @eldang oh! it's open source too
oh hi! i do computers, and sometimes draw stuff~ i like lo-fi things and cute aesthetics!
i also probably like you
(also, tagged #abdl ahead, soooo 🔞)
