@ambassador@compassion.online All the same, awoo.space's code is not really in a place where I'd recommend any measure of adoption- there's a lot of UI work that needs done, and it also needs a rebranding into more "federation blocklist vs accesslist" to eliminate color-coded terms

@ambassador@compassion.online I can't say yes or no to this as I don't know other folks' needs. I only saw one of a specific type on Mastodon.

That said, I'd say that yes- there are some folks who really want a concrete way to limit what shows up in response to them, and on top of that there's been a demonstrable need by a school a while back to automatically block other networks that aren't added in manually. That isn't even necessarily a safe space per se, just a legitimate use.

@garbados @C1T7@mastodon.technology @djsundog really the only thing you need the email bit for is to confirm your account but it works perfectly fine without hooking that up properly, you just have to manually confirm accounts

@djsundog @C1T7@mastodon.technology @garbados there it is!!! thanks for the quick lookup

this should cover you!

Awoo Space

Awoo.space is a Mastodon instance where members can rely on a team of moderators to help resolve conflict, and limits federation with other instances using a specific access list to minimize abuse.
