There's also a rails task to create and confirm a user now- I don't know how to look that up off the top of my head though.

was thinking about academia and decided to check in on a friend who's in grad school- turns out he's currently working on a project called PYNQ, which is this cute little embedded systems chip designed for coders to build on just using Python

it's so cool i felt i had to share!!

idk about other schools but my boyfriend got his master's in computer science and his profs actively encouraged them to be aggressively competitive and it was gross af

and that's just for master's

first one's hyperbolic, i know plenty of people who went into this level of academia

but i know plenty more who avoided it like the plague because it's monstrous and there's no support system for you there

literally everyone i know: "i didn't go into academia because it's too hard"
professors: "students these days are so lazy and untalented"
