a lot of people are willing to judge based on personal history. i've never claimed to be a good person my whole life, and in fact i've done some bad shit in my life. i'm not gonna say anything of what i've done either. but i've learned how to stop it & help others stop it, and that's what matters

folks judging you for what you've done isn't on you as long as you've grown & work against what you were

the point i'm trying to make is- it's not necessarily even about you, right? it's not necessarily personal, even if it kinda feels like it is

this is why i'm cool with people shitting on men and things like that. it's not about me, it's about the group i belong to in general being bad even if i might not be

sometimes folks need to cordon themselves off to be ok. i try not to blame folks who do this, nor take it personally, though that's sometimes hard
