@hax that's understandable! I like it wet but a good mix is best for me. Seattle tends to get me down because it can go for ages before a break.

Depression /anxiety care tip

Hi Seattle friends (and elsewhere!)

The rain is lovely but this means we get less sun. Make sure you find other ways to get vitamin D, they help me a lot compared to when I don't have it!

If you also suffer from SAD consider getting a treatment lamp. There are some reasonably priced ones on Amazon all the time. I went big and have had mine for almost 10 years so if you can save up for a real good one it will probably pay off for ya!

@ccolocho@cybre.space hell yea

there was some talk today about how a big feature (image text tagging) doesn't exist and folks don't want to move their setup from twitter cuz it's a ton of effort

@ccolocho@cybre.space accessibility became a good thing to think about this week- there was some brief talk today about why folks w/ disability don't want to come over

@RealPoptartBear try doing something repetitive and calming like knitting or getting a fidget spinner

go watch salty bets and let out anger. invite your friends and yell at each other

@Raspberryfloof then do that! Just say "support me, your friend, as I try to exist and do stuff!"

@Mastodon gargamel fixed the emojos!

(more seriously: activity pub is a bfd even if it needs more work)

@Raspberryfloof what about a Kofi? Then it's just for tips and not payment :)

@chr@cybre.space maybe it's got privacy set up such that you have to actually perform an invite?

dealing with bad mood stuff

@roh@mastodon.art this is a great one too

this too shall pass significance

when i was super young and being bullied all the time- my mom calmed me down with this phrase. she knew the life she thrust on me wouldn't be that way forever and it was true.

when i hurt badly sometimes it helps to reflect on that phrase, because even if my mom is no longer capable of giving me that kind of emotional support i can feel it still when i think about her. i was bawling the first time i watched that video in college- i saw my whole life in it
