@hummingrain "How about tens and twenties?"
@hummingrain *ponders being 50% older than you, crumbles into dust, sweeps it into an urn as your birthday present, you little sprat* <3
@Leucrotta Yeah. I think I'm dating one. *giggles and makes sure they're very far away when Peg sees this*
re: MH (-)
@JulieSqveakaroo @Phorm I have this horrible feeling that the extent to which anyone would care if I disappear, charted over the course of my life, would be a bell-curve that peaked somewhere around 2004. It's OK, it was a fun ride even if it didn't go much of anywhere.
re: MH (-)
@Phorm Oops, faved by accident while replying, hope that didn't come across as insensitive. But... yeah. I tell stories to people you don't even know about that weird shy fox who was the ONLY person to ever write good satire/homage of the DScream. We might move on, sure, but we won't be happy about it and you WILL be remembered. ❤

@mmsword And thus the time loop is closed!

@Aradia No, I think they're Nick Frost and Simon Pegg in disguise.
day jeorb; pictures of animals on the Internet; 🐷
Latest addition to my ongoing collection of animals I found on photo views while doing my day job:
Two (2) piggies. Village green, Brook, Hampshire, UK.
@mawr See previous toot—that thing literally gave me nightmares. Cool ones. I, for one, welcome...
dreams
The pattern continues: dreams about old friends and social gatherings leave me scared, and dreams about monsters and natural disasters leave me excited.
I just couldn't get myself going this morning, so I went back to bed for a few hours. I had just watched a video about the uncanny intelligence of slime molds, so I dreamed of an alien conspiracy that was selling mutagenic protists mixed into mall-grade smoothie drinks. It was awesome.
They were so darned cheerful about the whole thing. When pressed, they cheerfully admitted it was part of an interplanetary scientific experiment, we were basically guinea pigs, they'd never ingested it themselves—and never would, and they had no idea what it might do to us.
Oh, and I recall that they were selling it as a mass transit system. O_o In fact, it was replacing all the other mass transit in Detroit, which is where I was stranded by that part of the dream.

@coyohti Oh, dear, I see you've discovered Ulillillia. Ulillillia is... not like the rest of us. Ulillillia is different.
I wonder if I still have my copy of his, er, novel.
Just for kicks, it's time to link to my commonplace book (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonplace_book) again. Basically a raw glimpse into my obsessions.
A few CWs apply, like the collection of obscene Bible versus and the particularly nasty HP Lovecraft quote I only keep around for mockery.

@hystericempress Bonus material, from a related attempt to glean ship names from a list of organ stops, submitted without commentary:
nomenclature, extreme sports, my obsessions
Today I learned that every climbing route up El Capitan, the terrifying vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, has its own name. I've always had a fascination with ornate lists of names, and this one is definitely pinging it.

@Austin_Dern Bowserization. *nod* Used to kidnap princesses, now plays tennis with their boyfriends on weekends. It happens to the best of us.
