I guess if any of the above has any RL connotations, it's just that I'm not much of a "joiner" in general. I have a long, long history of seeing a Big Uniform Social Group like that and needing to be very noisily right on the margins of it-- playing off of it but also the fact I'm NOT a real part of it.

New headcanon: my Mad Raccoon, Kirschi, cheerfully does business with the Korps but refers to them as "pinkeyes" or having "caught The Conjunctivitis" behind their backs and has quietly sabotaged a few friends' RCGs (and maybe replaced some of the 'ware with their own-- nobody said they were a saint).

[This is a purely in-character sentiment. Kirschi is a procyonid and let's face it thus kind of a jerk, so this is totally appropriate behavior for them. :) ]

It seems like more of my queer furry friends are severely depressed and unhappy with their lives these days than not. Pretty much none of the promise of what we were attempting 20 years ago came through, or at least that's how it feels sometimes.
