So if I wake up tomorrow and can't see out my right eye, I guess you're gonna get a visit from me sooner than anticipated. o_x

(I do think I'm OK, though. No flashes, and there isn't the "shower" of floaties the sites warned about, just one ginormous one plus a TINY black speck. Plus, it's my "goblin eye," the eye that already had the warped macula, not the "good" one. I didn't like the goblin eye anyway. It's really only good for seein' goblins.)

@spacewastrel@snouts.online To be quite brutally honest, I no longer believe in human "sanity" as anything except a social construct. I don't think there's a single member of our species who is not made functionally delusional, to at least some degree, by the very wiring of our brains and all the shortcuts programmed into them. There are people whose delusions are well-adapted to their cultures; there are no people whatsoever who perceive reality with reasonable and genuine accuracy.
