There's a little kid no older than 7 having a birthday here in this French Quarter cafe, and his parents are teaching him about Mary Woronov, Paul Barten The Ramones, and Lou Reed.

I did at least make this little toy, based on the nine traits on Thomas Adorno's F (for Fascism) scale in The Authoritarian Personality.

Use it for good, with my frothy, contagious blessings.

I gave so many incurable alien diseases to so many TERFs and Trump cultists today on Birdsite and if I had an actual skeletal system my jaw would probably be sore from all the biting.

I am a tad concerned about falling back into old habits, but there's one bad factor missing from the cycle this time: regret. I know damn well that my opponents are wrong & deceitful. I have at last mastered the fine art of "fire and forget."

I won't pretend it's not still fun.

@kelseyhusky Absolutely. If it's any consolation, I feel that way about Masto much of the time myself. It's really not a great medium to get affirmation in, 'cause it's easy to post, skim, and walk away.

@hystericempress @mmsword @zx3 I've been thinking about this, and I mean... they could even have preserved the black comedy of the show by having Rick find genuine enlightenment and remorse, admit that he's been fucking it all up and his philosophy is narcissistic and bankrupt... and then have some random mishap reset him to his old self. That would've been fine. It would have at least confirmed for us: Rick-as-he-is is no oppressed hero, he's a fuckup.
