Oh, shit. @acetone_kitten, did you know about <s>Stereolab Jr.</s> Cavern of Anti-Matter (I think you introduced me?) and did you know their second album dropped recently?

This would be a #moodsnapshot of my last year, but I honestly couldn't tell you which one of them I am.
If you want to know how my morning's gone, imagine the scene in Brazil where the police invade Archie Buttle's apartment by suddenly boring through the ceiling, except they're actually from Central Services to fix the plumbing, and they're actually very nice even though you have a sneaking suspicion they're laughing at your gayness behind your back.
Man, if REGGIE WATTS has to cut you a diss track, you done fucked up, Skrillex. That's like being kicked in the crotch by Fluttershy.

I'm out of evaluations for now, still waiting for the next batch to come in and kind of surprised they haven't yet. In the meantime, I'm back to my old job for a bit and noticing two nice things:
One, it's SUPER-EASY now that I've spent several months doing nothing but grading other people's work and thinking about what we want out of it.
Two, I'm a lot more inclined to give people positive feedback. The new task requires it, so now it's force of habit when I do the old tasks. Nice.
While I'm thinking of it: Peg and I watched two hours of Legion last night, and they were five of the best hours of television I've ever seen. @_@ Jesus, the show is DENSE and is constantly skate-grinding the rail between profound and laugh-out-loud ridiculous, But even at its very worst, it's the most audacious cinematography I've ever seen on TV. And I'm not ashamed to say I watch, and analyze, a LOT of TV.

Current self-image: the knackered exorcist in a horror movie who looks you straight in the eye, sucks back another whiskey, and says "Don't even bother. There's a Devil, I've seen him, but there is no God." I caught a glimpse of another world of possibility once and I'm kind of sorry I did.

I feel like I should be jumping in to help some of the people who are in pain this morning, but I keep reaching for my chaplain's collar and seeing the stain of accidentally-shed rabbit blood on it and... and then *I* need a chaplain. And maybe a shot of Malört, or as I've come to call it, "Hairshirt In A Bottle."
On a related note: I don't want one. I just want to be one.
