These Myxolines are crazy. You can tell by their clothes. The bird wears a trenchcoat and they all smell bad. We were gonna in with them on an alliance after the Temple blew up but my best pal warned me you can never tell when they're gonna divide up and then there's two and four and eight and you don't know how many are gonna show up...

oh god, setting up an umami bomb (soy sauce, fish sauce, tomato paste, a little chopped anchovy, Secret Aardvark hot sauce) in this bowl of Annie's Shells and Cheese was the best post-flu idea ever

just wish i'd had some marmite on hand

next time i think i'm gonna get some sashimi-grade tuna from the farmers market and make a poke bowl over mac and cheese

Weird gaming linguistics question:

Is there any jargon term for "the points effectively wasted when a bar/stat is refilled past its maximum?"

E.g., you have 45/50 HP and heal for 15. You are at 50/50 HP, gaining 5, and 10 points of heal effectively fizzle. You got 10 points of __________.

If there's no existing term, I'd probably go with "overheal" in that context, but what do gamers actually SAY, if anything?

Nearly recuperated, just in time for Peg's return on Monday! I won't even be contagious, if the CDC's flu guidelines can be trusted! Meanwhile, I've lost 7-8 lbs., had a four-day tolerance break, and spent no money except for soup ingredients and facial tissue. So, I didn't expect to be saying this, but...
