Frens I have a question!
In the UK and Australia, the power coming into your home is referred to as the "mains."
Is there such a term in use here in the US? The best I can find is the "main power drop" but that turns up so many unrelated results.
@mmsword Hmmmmmmmm. That's close but not quite there.
@mawr "Mr. Biteygojiggledance?"
@mawr "Three-phase Electro-motive Force Conduit!" "Electron Firehose!" "Freddy Killowatt!" "Sparky!"
... yeah, it's the mains up here, too. <.<
@Momentrabbit I like all of those names a lot. :D
@Momentrabbit @mawr Electromotive Force Conduit is my new synthwave band name.
@mawr "utility drop"maybe? I feel like I should know but I don't.
@mawr I actually don't know either, and I'm an electrical engineer! I've started using mains after Big Clive, though. :)
@mawr Mains is the word I've always used for it, but since several of my closest friends are British it's possible I just picked it up from them.
@mawr wait this doesn't exist elsewhere?!
