We have this unique ability to create powerful, interesting, open spaces that are moderated the way we choose. We can make the communities we always wanted, and create our own rules. This isn't the first time it's happened ever, but on the scale we're now seeing it, with the power and ease of use of the tools we have available, it's amazing.

When you enter another community, you respect their rules. You live by their rules. And if you need a community that is more fitting to your needs, you either find those who's rules fit your needs, or you make your own. And that brings me to Discord and Mastadon. Both of them are based around the idea of making your own spaces. Perhaps their initial intention was simply decentralization to avoid corporations, but they can be more.

How does someone affection starved thrive in that environment? The short answer is that they don't. If you are a person who is in need of reaffirmation and care and affection surrounded by hurt people who need space away from the more overt examples of such, your needs and their needs clash. Does that mean one group is being unreasonable? I don't believe so in the least. Both of you are in need of something. This is the value of different communities.

So... Safe spaces. This sort of thing has been on my mind for a long time. I remember an experience I had around a year ago with a chat server that ended up being a very bad fit for me. This server was protecting extremely vulnerable, harmed people. There were triggers relating to affection and love that needed to be carefully handled.

I asked the deck about your fears, but it told me of your persistence instead. I think that's important.

@Oneironott Third... while not as prevalent as voids, the number 7 comes up in prominent positions, as the only surrounding piece not dictated by void, and as the crown atop your head. Fortune and nature go hand in hand, the unplanned forces of the world acting... This leads me to believe that the foundation of all of these fears, the starting block, is misfortune. The world has failed you, its uncaring attitude has become foundational.

@Oneironott Second, the Crown. The Crown rests on the top, as one would expect... but interesting to me is that I prefaced your request with informing the deck that this was a story of masters. And yet, the only master here is uncertainty. Perhaps the deck saying that the only thing to fear is fear itself? Or that the only true control the world has over you is the fear it instills.

@Oneironott First, the LACK. This spread is absolutely dominated by Voids. The Void of myths, the fear of no story. The void of masks, the fear of being forgotten, or perhaps the fear of forgetting, or the fear of those we never know. And the fear of void itself, the closest this deck has to death... But the way they build upward and center around blades, this tells me that your fears, though they tear at you, can be filled.

The first card drawn is the Monument of Blades. Persistence. A hopeful card, given talking about fears. Blades are the manifestation of action and intent. Blades as a center means that you will use your persistence to fight off your fears. From there...

Such an interesting spread. There are 3 interesting things about this spread....

Law, Tradition, Desire (in the sense of being owned by need, not of enjoying fun~), etc. Enjoying being someone's pet is quite a lot different, and I would argue far more freeing, as that immediately frees one from Tradition and Expectation~

I have two more queued up, and one more request without a specific story. But after lunch!

Phew. That was a strong read. Okay! I've decided that Ultimate cards are my second most difficult reads. Treasure is definitely the hardest still.

@Ronja@witches.town The forgotten's place is interesting, being cardinally south of the center card tells me that it is foundational. Perhaps this represents an internal feeling, a desire built into your psyche from long ago.
Taking all this together, my read on what's going on here is that the kitsune self you seek is obtainable with persistence and time. The only Blades Card is clear. Seek to free yourself from all masters, and have patience. Your journey may be a long one, but it is possible

@Ronja@witches.town From 9 cards, you have but one master, and it is a void. You are unbeholden. This journey is nobody's but your own. Its position directly on the right implies that this is a page to come, and opposed to the the Edge of Myths, tells me that your journey is one of breaking free of the sadness in your heart. Masks play a powerful role in your life, the hero that applies pressure from above, perhaps someone you seek to aspire to be. Perhaps the inner vision of self.

The first card is the Ultimate of Forces. Everything. The spread is a 9 card spread, embodying a possibly dizzying experience. The cards in the corners are our peripheral, while the cards in cardinal directions are what's clear. What I find most interesting about this spread is that there is only a single Crown card in the entire draw.
