Thoughts on animal noises:

Some animal noises are well ingrained into english, because the animal makes clear reproducable noises. Meow, woof/bark, growl, moo, etc.

Some animals don't have this, whether because of lack of interaction (dragons) or because of lack of non-angry noise (bunnies)

Do you care enough to attempt to get around this? What sounds do you make, if you make any? (obv, this is largely )

Fox News but instead of political bullshit it's just live feeds of wild foxes fooling around in a forest, 24/7.

brainstorming

I feel like I just need a GLUE for all these ideas.. something to bind it together in a way that makes sense. I need to turn all these sticks into a bundle, somehow, but I'm not seeing how it can be done, yet... Perspective, emotion, element, how do I bind them cohesively?

Perspective is important. That's a huge thing about stories, they're always true if you understand the perspective they're coming from. Or truth, at least, can be gleamed from them... that's an important aspect of my tarot... So then, what about using perspectives...

Self, other, friend, foe... Or maybe collective, self, outsider...

maybe author, reader, protagonist, antagonist, bystander...

Maybe this is too far back, maybe this is just another layer, or more to do with spread

comforting words

@neonNeptunian I hope that the world is kinder to you soon. You deserve so much better. You try, and you're sweet, and you're good and kind and helpful. And the world is stifling you. I hope, hope hope hope, that it's soon that you're given reprieve

Also just to like, actually share how my own creative process goes, to open myself up to others.

The goal of all this brainstorming is to have a LOT of ideas to work with, to open my mind so that I am not caught in the eye of my own thoughts, the single minded focus that obscures truths by limiting perspective.

Brainstorming

Common themes in all of these... how can they be bundled together...

Wanderlust and curiosity, desire and lust... All of these speak to a wandering nature, the desire for the new... vision often finding itself here too

Nostalgia, sympathy, fear, comfort, all pushing us towards the familiar in some way or another

Rivalry, pride, jealousy, love, inspiration, hot feelings, the ones that drive us towards action...

Not sure I like this, but hitting enter anyways

Yes, brainstorming off of replies, too

@kel@witches.town ...BrainSTORMING. Not washing. That's a fruedian slip if there ever was one, lol

Yes, brainwashing off of replies, too

@kel@witches.town An interesting set of dichotomies... Honesty is an important aspect of self, feeling true... That's definitely a powerful emotion many of us seek. Yet the masks we wear shield our truths. They become new truths that we're forced to adapt to... Community goes hand in hand with acceptance, solitude and calm go hand in hand... Desiring control and agency...

Brainstorming

Maybe start with aspects of feelings that are important to stories, and pare it back after getting a solid list...
Perseverance
Inspiration
Desire
Despair
Jealousy
Rivalry
Love
Pride - Self
Pride - Progeny
Comfort
Fear
Wanderlust
Nostalgia/homesickness
Curiosity
Sympathy
Lust
Vision - feeling connected to the cosmos
Plenty more I'm sure....

@Thaminga Yepyep. Which is why I'm thinking if I use light, it may not have a counterpart darkness. but not sure! Still going over all of my ideas. Kinda trying to rapid fire a lot so I can see what stands out.

Brainstorming

@Oneironott Oooh... This gives me thoughts of needing to start a little earlier in the process, too... describing thoughts of feelings in stories and figuring out how to bind them together.... I love the comment on endurance, in particular, reminds me of a need for perseverance...

Brainstorming

Sometimes an opposing element can be an interesting thing... other times, the element can simply include the opposition to itself. Light creates shadows. Or perhaps the objects in front of it do... but regardless, shadows are part of the package. That isn't the case with fire or ice. What even would be darkness?

What other elements are common to use.... Senses, sound and smell... Adventure time uses candy and slime, which I admit is fascinating.

Brainstorming

Lightning is a no go, its symbolic feelings simply lead to fire. Earth and water almost seem connectable, but how? Is air separate? Maybe breath... The sensuality and fleetingness of life, as separate from fire? Where fire consumes, breath simply is...

What of light? Or wood? Oh, maybe wood would be earth and water's aspects... Wood could potentially be forces. The natural world, maybe?

I like the idea of Myths being Light somehow... Is there darkness? Or is that included?

Brainstorming

Brainstorming... What are the fae elements. Would be based off of feelings, emotions, I'd think... themes that fit well in a story. Fire and ice seem clear. The heat of passion, desire, inspiration... The chill of apathy, despair, listlessness... But what other elements? 5 would be ideal, particularly if I could match them to my current suits. Fire matches blades, ice matches crowns, easy.... That'd leave Forces, Myths, and Masks

A focusing sign, middle and index fingers. A prayer. And a completed task.

Bad

I'm sorry... I've been struggling all day but trying to keep moving. I'm a creature of momentum. I stopped and it all fell apart.

Thank you so much... Im going to try to sleep. Maybe tomorrow will be easier to handle
