@demonkind@occult.camp Do you know why I mentioned double-sided? Because of this. I am aware of it. There is a part of japanese work culture that is positive (boss and workers care for each other), but its outweighed by negatives like that. It is horrible. Luckily, it seems like more japanese companies are aware of this, some start to limit worktime to 12 hours daily, and others start giving non smoking workers some days off. Japanese work culture needs improvement, and fast
@ThatDamnCat Like, over here? =D Hmmm.... Maybe I'll try it. Thanks!
@Leucrotta I quite agree - I am no socialist or communist myself ( which I hope wont bring me hate here, since so many people are ones over here ), since I do recognize that free market brings the fastest economical progress. There should be adjustments done, particularly to wealth distribution. Seems like Japan has least problems with capitalism wealth distribution thanks to its double sides work culture ( boss cares for workers, workers care for the boss ). /random ramble over
@ThatDamnCat Thanks! I already got some great advice from r/fitness =D
And what do you mean by the awoo? I'm new here

Depression thoughts, hope?, motivation
@mismatched@a.weirder.earth Hey, I know that me writing is random, but hey, I wanna help if I can.
I went through a bad, and so far , the only major depressive episode about 2-3 years ago. Nothing helped me instantly, but there was one YT channel with things that slowly helped my worldview and resolve to feel better : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXLesGEfmyhxqOjoAqhRwhA
He has various videos, check out ones that might touch the topic of self-improvement

Someone had the idea already
@hax Oh, gotcha. You're probably a natural by now. I'm still learning! Good luck, and kudoos for surviving in that enviroment so far!
@hax Yep. If you are interested, our teacher reccomended book series called ''Market Leader''. Seems good and informative so far (in B2 level atleast)
@hax I'm currently studying economy in english. We have whole subject dedicated to business english, which seems to be a compromise between UK and US english, so system like that seems to be in place already
@vahnj ONE OF US

@AnubysIshtar Try finding something you can get yourself lost in. Good luck bud
@AnubysIshtar You need to find something that you can do when you have time for leisure. Books are always a decent bet
@AnubysIshtar I usually try to ''de-brain'' myself - Do something that can take your attention, and does not requiere much thinking
Politics, Ablist Terminology
@flitterbatflutterbat@mastodon.social See, that is the thing that gets to me - Everyone is screaming ''stupid, stupid, stupid'', but to me it feels like we-all-know-who cannot possibly be like that. Controversial/stupid statements seem to cover the bigger picture, which I dont wanna get into. But yeah, I get what you mean
@AnubysIshtar I get your drift - Is there something you are interested in learning maybe?
@AnubysIshtar Learning might not be fun, but if you learn to find it interesting, it can work as some sort of last resort thing. Good luck bud
@AnubysIshtar ''(...) you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honour trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then — to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the only thing for you. Look what a lot of things there are to learn.'''' - T.H. White

Uhm... I'm 19 y/o, aspiring actor/vocalist that is currently studying economy...yes...
I'd say I am a caring, ambitious, lazy-ish, learned optimist and a bit chaotic at times
