@Nerts I love DF's combat system, even if it's hilariously awkward to do manually in adventure mode. It's way more intricate than almost anything else--your dwarves don't have hit points, they have bones that can be broken, limbs that can be torn off, blood that can be lost and result in loss of consciousness, hell they even have lungs that can be punctured, and the game even goes so far as to model their *liver* (which is proportionally much larger than humans', to account for all the alcohol)

and every type of injury has different effects on them, both temporary and permanent
