@pup_hime In case you're wondering just how realistically American those are: we've lived in the US our whole life (and eaten probably more cheeseburgers than is healthy) and have not heard of a "new-york style" cheeseburger
-F
Looks like a typical fast-food or diner cheeseburger loadout on the picture, though (save for the potato chip replacing the meat, obviously); tomato, pickle, cheese, bun. Missing the lettuce for some reason, though.
-R
@Violet Looks like an industrial control panel--probably a good idea not to mess with it!
-F
@pup_hime It's more a thing from the US Southwest, actually! But yeah, I wonder what would be considered nachos in like Japan or something
-F/R
@pup_hime that's interesting! they're not nachos here until they have at least some melted cheese on them, more usually melted cheese, jalapeños, tomatoes, some kind of meat (ground beef and chicken are particularly common options), sour cream, and maybe some lettuce
-F
@codl waiting for someone to jump in and start editing it to say "gamecube nintendo" because GCN
-F
@pup_hime it's bizarre to see them called nachos, because over here "nachos" is specifically a dish made from tortilla chips and toppings, the toppings being the important part
round ones are pretty common over here too, though triangles are more common

self ~
i think, one of our biggest flaws is that we're just terrified of conflict
even if we're not involved, seeing a friend involved in some kind of conflict, or worse, two friends in conflict with each other, is just... really hard for us to bear
i don't begrudge anyone their opinions, i just... we don't know how to deal with conflict
i feel like it's unhealthy, the degree to which we feel like we need to avoid conflict at all costs, but i'm not sure where to begin working on it
-F
re: self reflection (4/4)
@owashii@plush.city We didn't see too much of what happened but i just want to say that we appreciate you
i can't promise we won't accidentally cross a boundary at some point, but i can promise we'll try our best not to, and if told we're stepping over a boundary we'll just apologize and step back, not demand reasons or keep pushing
-F
@squirrellilly@queer.party Yeah we've wondered about color-blind modes actually
like i can see it being useful if it was actually... you know, changing things to enhance contrast for color-blind people
but as it is, it looks like they left in a dev tool ("use this button to look at the things you're designing and see if they work okay for colorblind people") and called it an accessibility feature
-F
@oceanotter it's comfy being in a place with a lot of other nonbinary folks
-F
@KaffeineKaiju they could also be garbage reasons too, though. like "they included a nonbinary character so it's bad", or "there's a tiny graphical glitch if you do this very precise sequence of movements on this very specific hardware"
-F
@KaffeineKaiju like it could be the most masterpiece of a game ever in your opinion and someone else will disagree with the story pacing, or the visual direction, or the control scheme, and they'd be perfectly valid complaints
everything is subjective! you're allowed to have opinions different from other people
-F
@KaffeineKaiju there's someone out there who hates any game
-F
@KaffeineKaiju we'll proobably play the game at some point! we've heard it's good. but we've also heard it's bad, so who knows. we've enjoyed a lot of games that others have said were bad though
-F
@pup_hime oh yeah it's pretty good
