@Kat@snouts.online It’s not clear how it plays out, but Congress is displeased because the threat is bipartisan. On the R side, the thin veneer of legitimacy was cracking with the base. On the D side, that they were going to do anything other than run out the clock.

I don’t think we should mistake this with removal or improving 2020, though. Both caucuses may be satisfied with keeping him scared until they can install a “centerist” to keep their billionaires happy.

I’m personally foregoing celebration until 45 and Bojo are collectively out of power, but today’s unanimous (unanimous!) developments on both sides of the pond are encouraging.

I managed a respectable time for 7 crystal fast ganon with... random enemy damage. They were not kidding with the warning:

@Thaminga @mawr @zebratron2084 I’ll take Sevenfany. Sounds like a pretty amazing name for a hobbit, kobold, or their collective punk band.

It then put both gloves, flute, hammer, flippers, and boots (read: just about every item that unlocks easier access to the overworld) all deep into this required path, then stacked *six* of the game’s main dungeons into death mountain.

Go Mode was a Swamp Palace small key.

I... don’t know if I have the fortitude to try one of these again, but it certainly was fun to puzzle out.

This seed generated a required walk that went:

1. Exit Sanctuary from pyramid left door.
2. Enter dark peg fairy cave (South of PoD), which is now spiral cave.
3. Exit spiral cave connector from MM closet.
4. Enter dark Agina cave, which is now paradox cave.
5. Exit either from bomb shop or top of bumper cave.

Or for those that have no idea what I’m on about: the randomizer made me walk the entire length of the game’s overworld. Twice. On every save reload.

So I tried another crosskeys seed, this time with random swords and with a note-taking device handy.

The previous time, it gave me early boots, early flute, early gold gloves, and easy connectors to dark world. Nooooot this time.

Hell seeds in crosskeys are apparently *amazing*.

Also, I’m never running a crossworld/entrance rando seed again without having a tracker up or taking notes. It was fun, but chest checks seems to be the limits of what I can do in memory.

Spent some time with the daily challenge seed yesterday, since I’ve been pairing that with exercise bike time. It had swordless enabled, but all of the stuff you need for swordless rando (tiles to use the medallions in Ice Palace, book + hammer for tablets, pre-opened sword doors) wasn’t enabled for some reason?

It was fun proving I couldn’t solve it, then taking it as far as I could in logic. But either something radically changed, or hope it’s fixed soon.

@mmsword @starkatt It’s much easier to survive the storm when your primary skills are coalition-building and communication. But when it’s not, it’s a hell of a lot easier to flee and let false narratives take hold. Abusers have learned to exploit that power dynamic.

@mmsword @starkatt This. Folks at the core of communities aren’t typically vulnerable. But periphery folk and folk already being gaslit or marginalized tend to be targets.

Typical pattern is to start with a kernel of truth from one or more seemingly trusted sources, then to launder it through third parties to amplify the allegations.

Which is why a lot of art folk I know have pulled back from social media.
