ALttPR "glitch"?
@ElectricKeet Friends of mine and I do a weekly multiworld session that we try to keep accessible (via Discord), so do let me know if you're ever interested in that.
We have folks in it ranging from standard simple logic to inverted keysanity door shuffle, with occasional SMZ3 combo rando tossed in for fun, and we're always happy to add one more.
ALttPR "glitch"?
@ElectricKeet Pretty sure you were in super bunny mode. There are quite a few ways to activate it! https://alttp-wiki.net/index.php/Bunny_Glitches
seapol, protests
Twitler is threatening violence in Seattle tonight (https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1270914092295950337), within an hour of reporting in NYT that lethal ammo stockpiles existed last week during the DC protests (paywalled source, sorry): https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/10/us/politics/national-guard-protests.html
The phrase "to be used on American citizens in case of emergency" is chilling AF and is hopefully editorializing. Regardless, please stay safe out there and double check your exit strategies just in case.
[1.Ch.] Acts of Solidarity
@orrery Shout-out to this person's other flights, which are documented on their infrequently-updated birdsite account: https://mobile.twitter.com/DimitriNeonakis
blm rebellions
@Kyresti There's also the fact that the response from multiple police forces (hello, SPD, LAPD, NYPD) has been to ramp up violence and to reduce accountability even further. And that's before considering the federal response of building a private militia and threatening a repeat of Tiananmen Square (which seems worryingly likely on its now anniversary). To say nothing of Lafayette Park.
So yeah, I'd say that's all cause for momentum.
uspol, hope, long read
In the spirit of this, I'm going to reach out to the head of HR who, 8 years ago, showed me empathy during a corporate coup where I then-worked. I think we all need to hear at this time that (1) even the small acts of rebellion matter and (2) people do remember them.
uspol, hope, long read
For folks that are feeling low or scared tonight, or feeling that what they're doing isn't enough, doesn't matter, or that nothing will change, this is a long but valuable read: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2020/07/trumps-collaborators/612250/
uspol, some good news, birdsite link, swearing
Steve King has been primaried. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, you racist shitstain: https://twitter.com/Redistrict/status/1268013341773041667
CALLS NEEDED! LEAVE MESSAGES! Seattle/King County, protesters held unconstitutionally, phone numbers and script

further down the thread, this tweet: https://twitter.com/arthoeheidi/status/1267962988842979328
Judge Rogers: (206) 477-1597
King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg: (206) 477-1200
King County Executive Dow Constantine: (206) 263-9600 (unable to verify this number, when called it says to leave a message for "Mullet Venus"?)
script:
Hi, my name is [NAME] and I am a resident of [CITY] in King County. I am calling to demand the immediate release of those currently detained in King County Jail and the Kent Regional Justice Center awaiting court proceedings. They have been deprived of their constitutional right to appear before a judge and seek their release, and face increased risk of contacting COVID-19 while in jail. I am calling on [JUDGE ROGERS/ATTORNEY SATTERBERG/EXECUTIVE CONSTANTINE] to do the right thing, and do everything in his power to release these individuals immediately.
Structural ponderings, capitalism
@Kyresti Given how scared some of the larger corps are of it and of their talent walking out the door, unionization is a start.
As for larger collectives, the EFF is a good example in the policy space, as are conference collectives (CCC, DEF*CON, various BSides communities, etc).
I'd include open source too, but... no, most of those are autocratic around one or two members.
uspol action
Justin Amash has put forward an "Ending Qualified Immunity Act" and I've called my rep about it.
studies on reducing police violence, birdsite link
I know it seems trite to be researching this when folks are in the streets. Beyond saving lives in the immediate, we need reforms to be fighting for, too.
@Kyresti Now is also a good time for CBs and HAMs to start their own pirate radio.
Dragon. Agender, otherkin, occasional artist and writer, infosec engineer, in about that order. Avatar by Xeirla. Singular they/them preferred.
Also on @Goldkin (meow.social) for follow requests that don't work here.
