"No."
"But I love you!"
"So you say. That never gives the right to make demands."
"Don't you love me?"
"I do," God said. "That gives no right to make demands either."

so at the flea market I got an old Chivalry and Sorcery module and I haven't purchased anything so railroady since the last time I got an issue of Narrow Gauge and Shortline Gazette.
Doubtless the reason the wraiths help the PCs out of prison in THAT mandated encounter is that they split popcorn together while watching the NPCs fight earlier.
The author suggests after the Necromancer runs off (as the PCs aren't allowed to kill him), the GM might mandate that they resurrect the NPC wizard.
Subtoot, drug and sex mention
The Purge and what all assumes that if everything were legal for a time it’d be incredibly violent but 1) if humans can do *anything* they’re as likely to fuck, take whatever substances are available and invent religions as they are to beat heads and 2) I fit into this and would probably just indulge in public nudity, which isn’t good preparation for violence but if you can do anything at all why wear pants?
and now my motivation plunges through the floor. Schostakovich Sym 7 didn’t help (weirdly I feel it must’ve influenced Sato Masaru and Bernard Herrmann); swapping to the 9th. A little poking to see why it’s this short suggests it’s one of those things Schostakovich enjoyed writing and which the establishment officially hated before Stalin died.
aggretsuko spoiler
Something I really liked is the implication nobody in the show was all that bad. The deer kisses up in part because she’s honestly a cheerleader and wants the whole department to have it easier, space cadet from Sales has this secret life as a gardener, Mr. Ton is an incredibly competent accountant who really busts ass when needed. There’s only 3 characters where you don’t get to see redeeming features and since everyone else isn’t completely terrible maybe they’re okay too.
Thot;
By definition “everything in my life has led up to this moment,” and “I could die at any moment” though this is less dramatic than it sounds and a lot of those moments are in the shower, on the pot, fapping, stuffing food in my face, in traffic, stuck at day jobs etc. If this is so then the ideal is to be a relatively okay person so my last actions at least won’t be completely awful.
art validity
the whole thing is complicated by how online you're never far from a mixed reception to a wide range of other peoples' technical skills and imagination.
It is terribly easy here to imagine other people as valued and confident, which is of course what I want for myself (and which isn't actually about skill or imagination. Like saying "I'd like pie!" without noticing that when I want apple pie, it's not pecan pie).
art validity
Is what I do valid and good? A bad intersection of;
* genuine desire to improve (rationally, shouldn't I start selling myself anyway, since my dissatisfaction's unlikely to go away?)
* childhood-programmed fears that no matter what I do, it won't be good enough (esp since drawings are better but I haven't been painting)
* the question "am I good enough for people to pay me, if so can I get enough, can I deal with the resulting stress?" brought on by facing another week of Day Job.
@Earthshine it was pretty much inevitable that Tacklebox would do Haida fanart. I'd say it's weird there's no fanart of the yoga instructor, but half of all Gay furry porn is basically that character anyway.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
