anyone else wish small bits of movie were the entire thing, like I could watch an entire movie that was just;
* Saoirse swimming around in seal form during Song of the Sea
* the rave part of Moana
* the really bright, graphic style for the "Just Can't Wait to be King" sequence in TLK
* Rey spelunking in old Imperial crap during Ep VII

did your granny say, listen to your heart,
be who you are on the inside
I need three words to tear her argument apart.
YOUR GRANNY LIED. I'd rather be SHINY!
like a treasure from a sunken pirate wreck
scrub the deck and make it look SHINY!
I will sparkle like a wealthy woman's neck, just a sec, here they come;
it's against the rules to throw other peoples' heads! You can only throw your own head! #moviequotes
Badly art blocked this afternoon, I’m not even gonna show you the comic page which didn’t work! #drawings

look at this, it's almost nothing but characterful portraits, but the lighting makes a big S leading down to the title (or up; that top area looks even better adapted to have the title, I wonder if they hadn't determined placement when they gave him the spec?).
I managed to write up a sort of loose autobiography by year, going back to when I graduated high school. Most of what happened before that is a big gray depressed nothing with occasional really brutal (or less frequent good!) bits, almost like my body had no serotonin before graduating. Anyway I feel like this was useful exercise.

Something I run into is that progress is SLOW. One example of several things I work on; it takes me a lot of looking at art, intentionally analyzing art, and making art to figure out art stuff.
Rationally I'm getting there and enjoying process, but that's a collision course with some of my issues, especially the "foreshortened future" feelings. Amazing progress feels like nothing when I think of it as a possible way to gain safety before something big comes along and wipes me out.
Have you ever considered that the original Jurassic Park featured a chief scientist who's name translates to "business," a paleontologist who needs a grant, and a sysadmin whose name is basically "nerdy"?
Presumably they wanted to hire a badass Aussie game warden named something like Ranger or Hunter and just nobody applied.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
