watching the "Thor" fanvid for "Threw It On the Ground" reminded me of when I was actually stoked for new Marvel superhero movies. Thanks to the subjectivity of memory it feels profoundly in the past (so not "that was ages ago" like when I was looking forward to new Jurassic World movies, but the same vague ages ago as John Carter of Mars or Kung Fu Panda II).
coyote sing along hour, RAtM lyrics
Causing innocent blood to flow
entire culture lost in the overthrow
they came to seize and take whatever they please
and all they gave back was death and disease
my people were left with no choice but to decide
to conform to a system
responsible for genocide
responsible for genocide
responsible for genocide
Images, graphic bloodshed, fantasy creatures, undead, eye contact
#drawings tightened up today while listening to the unused Graeme Revell score for The Thirteenth Warrior and the final Goldsmith score. Brutal oni in rain cape and partial armor decapitates fallen elf foe, an armored adventurer finds gnolls lurking in the darkness, and two undead!
Images, fantasy creatures, animal, eye contact
Oh yeah, I draw sometimes right? Two #drawings for #GoblinWeek; goblin wizard, fighter and ranger with dire weasel companion, an orc and a bugbear (decided against tightening the hobgoblin on that page).

sudden abrupt change from "straight cover of Hava Nagila" to "holy crap I want to go north of Santa Cruz and paddle out RIGHT FREAKIN NOW."
"Pulp Fiction" movie quote, adult language, threatened violence, link to appropriate music
"I love you Pumpkin"
"I love you Honey-Bunny. Everybody be cool, this is a robbery!"
"Any of you fucking pricks move and I'll execute every motherfuckin' last one of ya!"
oooh, "Breaker Morant" is free on YouTube. I could get hammered and be angry at the pommies!
uh, aside from how I'm technically British not Australian and that still doesn't provide me with non-stale beer.
Images, fantasy creatures, eye contact, archaic firearm
#drawings today; two adventurers find a surprise dragon lurking in the ruins. Two more adventurers (dwarf grenadier/petardier and lizard folk monk).
oh geez I *hadn't* realized that "goedendag" is pronounced Nederlands style - not German. And one story of origin for the name is that after Bruges the Flemish were able to figure out who was French by calling out to them, and yep... it's a shibboleth in the classical sense, the way "Schrevengringer" is used by the Dutch to flush out Germans in "Soldier of Orange."
Seriously. I spent October sick and around Halloween was spent stressed out thanks to the landlords here. Thanksgiving was marked by the car's timing belt breaking. Could we have a do-over on Halloween and maybe Thanksgiving?
But not Christmas, because Christmas would have been ass even without the ice storm and the 6 hour long upstairs party that *started* at midnight.

NEVER GO ABROAD FROM HOME
AHEAD OF YOUR SWORD OR YOUR AXE
YOU CAN'T FORTELL A FIGHT
NOR FEEL A BATTLE IN YOUR BONES
