oh no, just browsing furry art I found a picture of someone's fox character in a stillsuit and so now it's time for more Duneposting.
do not get too close. as he approaches the sand will engulf you. wait till the head of the worm passes then go, quickly.

#drawing today, kind of a Scouring of the Shire sort of deal. Two halflings rush past where a third is parrying a human sized opponent’s weapon and stabbing with her off hand.
AI "art" could potentially be sold as a cool TTRPG tool - generate not especially perfect or salable portraits, but that's okay, you're just showing players what the NPCs look like. Yes, that replaces stuff I've been commissioned to do in the past and it makes me pucker.
This unsurprisingly is completely lost in all the whole I AM A MASTER ARTIST FOR FEEDING WORDS INTO THIS PROGRAM WAY OF THE FUTURE CHEAP OUT ON HIRING AN ACTUAL PERSON.
uspol rant
y'know, out of all the people I disagree with, the leftists usually come across as 9 parts usually benign or even enlightened sounding words to 1 part action of any sort, and about the worst part is some persistent antisemitism
which is honestly pretty benign by comparison to how conservatives are 5 parts words usually about fucking with someone else's survival or liberty, to 5 parts action, when the action in question is
* voting willingly for something which directly threatens others' survival and liberty
* throwing money at politicians and churches which directly threaten others' survival and liberty
* straight up trying to kill or repress others
so you can kinda see where my bias lies

Some far rougher #drawings from last Friday, it’s been a sparse week. Dwarves versus a dragon toad; a half orc cleric magically binds a non corporeal undead; centaur and armored human women fighters. (Again, the face paint on the centaur is Elmore inspired. He kinda left a big impression.)

#drawings from Wednesday, anthro orcas, and DnD “scarecrows” that became part of (worksafe) autumn themed pinup art. I was trying to be Larry Elmore here.
I’ve been realizing today that, if “nobody actually wants to make mistakes” can make me feel terrible on its own, and made me vulnerable to/assume “some angry adult is about to tell me how fucking stupid and worthless I am, possibly at top volume several inches from my face,”
Someone watching me like a hawk, jumping on my mistakes, and their choice of “you need to” phrasing, is *of itself* uncomfortable even if the expected harangue about my stupidity isn’t intended and therefore never arrives.
This is going to sound weird, but I actually think working from home meant I exercised better, possibly ate better, and possibly saved more money on coffee shops (having them closed much of that time means it's hard to compare to "I want a place to sit out the worst traffic/I want to do something before I go home and round out the day").
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
