Hey kids have I indulged in completely nauseating hero worship towards either Mike Ploog or Claire Wendling lately?

Because they’re more awesome than I am ever going to be, and all I can do is copy their stuff to analyze and wonder why I hadn’t figured out what seems intuitive to them.

Gender is a performance, and I’ve been told mine is some action movie or serious captain of industry biopic, when I actually want it to be a stoner buddy roadtrip pic.

first I made myself go back to bed, and didn’t sleep great, but then I made myself leave bed, then I made myself leave standing under very hot water, then I made myself leave a very comfortable coffee shop so that I could be on the road in a physically dangerous and emotionally unsatisfying way

damn. I'm winding down for the weekend and masturbating to my weird kinks and REALLY INTO IT, and suddenly there's sirens and people running around and someone asking repeatedly "do we need to evacuate?" but no alarm goes off HERE and nobody knocks on my door, so I'm not sure I should stop. Eventually I make myself calm down enough to where I can throw on pants and clothes, and zip out and there are firemen all over, lights and smoke pouring out of an apartment across the complex. My neighbors reassure me that everyone's okay and no we don't need to evacuate and this is great news, but wow, I was not expecting this at all. I figure if I'm not falling asleep 20 minutes after I ideally should I'll take melatonin and that should help some.

man I don't think I gave "Stairway to Heaven" enough credit for being a GOOD song, because it's so kinda societally expected as to be kind of a joke

and the lyrics really are a little like someone's first brush with paganism before they rush out and get their first Llewellyn book

I wonder if "Time" was like those Beatles songs where someone decides to mix two similar song ideas?

gonna speak some outright heresy here; "That's the Way" is the best song on Led Zeppelin III, not "Immigrant Song"

but hell the whole album's really good, it's right up there with IV and Houses of the Holy as their best album
