Using the Folly to print adaptor and replacement parts for my CPAP gear. I should go and get fitted for a new mask, but it's pain in the rear. (Need to book at least three doctor appointments soon, sorting out the CPAP would mean a fourth...)

May also try printing some small drawer runners and bearings. Uses just keep appearing...

@Sangria I've been using zennioptical.com/ for a few years now. Frames are nice, hold up well. Lenses match the rx, according to my optometrist. And they can be *really* cheap, even with UV and antireflective coatings. Just my opinion, but maybe they could be of use to you.

Married Shenaniagans

@literorrery @ElectricKeet Crazy carpools with me. (I drive alone...)

@zebratron2084 And then we lost the car. n.n

Gradually came back. Found the right meds. Saw more clearly, got pain under control, found employer who took a chance on me. Refinanced everything, changed (and fully paid) banks, was gifted a car. Reconnected with friends.

A few lucky breaks came when I needed them most. *hugs*

@zebratron2084 Last year, this time, I was deeply depressed, nearly bedridden, in constant pain, being threatened with action from the bank over student loans from my failled attempt to return to school. Psych was recommending applying for disability. Broker than broke, unemployed, felt unemployable. And I was more than a little delusional.

massive morale failure

@zebratron2084 I'm reminded that even in extremis, we don't want to die, not *really*. We *really* want the (anticipation of) pain and loss to stop, and we've tried everything else we can think of. *hugs*

@adeptomega That's why if you squirm without rhythm, you won't attract the Walken.

@mawr it takes us too darn long, but sometimes, eventually, we get it right. n.n

Broke off the five smallest radii of the gauge I printed last night - so, trimmed the broken bit off and made up a new bit for the missing radii. Ready to deploy.

@zebratron2084 Still here! Pretty much consumed by the whole work thing, funny story, I'll have to tell you someday.

can't believe they called it metroid prime when 4 is a composite number

I still get a thrill out of seeing this assortment of kit parts and home-brew draw a *perfect* circle in the middle of its buildbed with a tiny thread of molten plastic.

'Tis a poor craftsperson who blames their tools: a good craftsperson _builds better tools_ with what they have. n.n

Need a radius gauge to calibrate hardware at work, come home and print my own on the threedee because work ain't gonna buy one, ting-a-ling motherfuckers...

@mawr But it does happen. **gentle cuddles** You will have better days: I hope tomorrow is one of them.
