@grime_witch@witches.town Though through tooter.today I found out there was an instance called http://rabbit.zone , which it claimed had open signups... except going there just informs me that it died and the admin isn't interested in running it anymore.
@grime_witch@witches.town I was just playing there, and that really just displays one random instance and their unique About info. Something that gives sorted lists based on focus would be ideal; a lot of these seem to be bland "yeah we're a place too". :(

@Firstaide I like clickaround adventure games. LucasArts pioneered the forgiving casual style of never letting the player get to an unsolvable game state and forcing them to go back to a previous save or start the game over.
Sam & Max Hit the Road is my favorite oldie. It does have one timing-based minigame, but otherwise is nicely accessible.
New users: be sure to put your preferred pronouns in your profile, with optional backups. Don't assume people can tell based on your name or userpic. Take advantage of this by looking up what others have in their own profiles, so you know how to best address your new friends!

@noiob I've not seen that style of case before! All I can offer is general tips, like make sure air input is equal to or slightly more than outflow, and flows smoothly from one end to the other end/side.
@Felthry probably birdsite doing Yet Another Thing People Don't Like, and searching for alternatives. I've heard things like users banned for saying a common curse word, or being temporarily muted for a number of reasons (some claiming with notice, some claiming no notice). Birdsite does unpopular things now and again like that.

Job stuff
Like, they were all about service industry should be background as much as possible, they don't want us to be seen and expressed disdain for visible job-related equipment, which came off to me as too shamey for my tastes. Presentation was also big, and I'm kind of a slob, so that wouldn't work out either. Like I said, little things, but lots of them.

So I was meeting with new job people Tuesday morning for paperwork and introductions, along with 30+ people they were also onboarding. One major thing I didn't like was they said no headphones. I really on podcasts and audiobooks to keep me sane on a boring job. There were other little things, but lots of them, that made me appreciate my current job. So I'm probably sticking with this one for now, 20% pay raise be damned, mental health is important.
