Wake up, go to get breakfast, discover that two Stellars Jays are waiting for signs of human activity, staring at the back porch.

Okay, fair, toss out a peanut for each of them. They grab them, fly off, and less than a minute later they're back and looking expectantly at the door.

That's not enough time for them to actually eat a peanut. So I wait and sure enough, they fly off again and I hear the noises of peanuts being disassembled in the tree outside.

Nice try, guys.

I think I just saw a crow fly by with a full-sized Snickers bar in its beak. Unwrapped.

Feeling pretty outclassed here with my peanuts.

Weeded the shit out of the front yard after I got back home. From hell's heart I stab at thee with a $30 weeding tool, dandelions. Later when I have things planted this will be important, right now it's just a dry run.

You know that thing about how "working on something will make you feel better" - It's not actually true.

Therapy this morning got into gender, sex, dysphoria, passing, surgery, safety in this current political climate, and more.

This may have something to do with why I'm feeling tired and also terrible. Would like to go to sleep and wake up in the right body please.

Starting to consider a masto account for an NPC my group hasn't even met yet. Not sure what instance to use though...

It's hot enough outside that all the crows are panting.

Hatchday is coming up and I'm torn between wanting to do a thing for it and just taking the day off.

So I managed to trigger a partial flashback on the way home today. How, I have no idea. Maybe it was just a random one, I'm not sure.

I've had a lot of practice dealing with these over the years, so the good news is that I'm only clocking in at "emotionally shaky" and not "absolutely devastated". Bad news of course it's that these are still just kinda happening...
