@vahnj Oooh sounds like fun! What kinda game? Obviously you don't have to go into details if you're tired, I'm just curious if it's like a board game, video, tabletop...?

I'm good! I had a nice busy morning (okay, I got a lot of kid snot on me, which isn't the best), a nice long nap this afternoon, and now I'm chilling.

Heyyy friendsssss~ How's everyone doing today?

I have a lot more followers/ am following way more people now. It's suddenly more crowded here, but that's kinda fun!

"wake up, sheeple" she says. you, a sheep-person, open your eyes and gently stir under the covers.
"i brought you breakfast ❤"

Aww bummer, no worries! Hehe thanks. :3

Ah yeah, low blood sugar isn't a side-effect of being diabetic, it's a side-effect of the insulin that some diabetics take. It can be a reaction to accidentally taking too much insulin.

Diabetics will typically have too-high blood sugar normally, because we don't produce enough or any insulin.

Non-fasting 83 is healthy. It's possible that yours drops down a little lower than average and makes you feel a little off, but you're not in danger of a severe reaction.

I gotcha. Well, breaks happen. That's life. It's okay if you're not 100%, 100% of the time.

As for isolating yourself outside of mastodon, I can only say that I've also been there, and it's nice to have at least one outlet. But if other forms of support are available, I find that varying my outlets can be pretty healthy.

A wheel is like a circle with more stuff in it.

Hey you're near me! I'm in Benicia CA.

Can you do undercuts? I'm looking for a new hairdresser. Going out to Sac every 6 weeks isn't practical (where I used to live).

If you aren't taking insulin injections, it's still possible to get low blood sugar, just not the drastically dangerous type us diabetics get as a side-effect of the medication.

Healthy blood sugar range is from about 80-120.

Non-diabetics can go down to 70-ish and feel shaky and dizzy.

Diabetics sometimes go down to 30s as a reaction to too much insulin, and can go into shock/have seizures as a result.

You can talk about what you're going through. I personally find talking about mental health stuff with others can be helpful, if only to remind myself that these feelings are valid and other people go through similar things.

Which is to say, your feelings are valid, it's awful that you feel this way, and not feeling real or in control of your emotions can be really hard and I've been there.

@ivydarkmoon@witches.town

No worries!

I was actually asking @raccoon if she was there, because she just moved to Austin.

Good to know though! I love this kind of witchcraftivism.

Ahhhh okay I actually get to relax today. Did the hard stuff, time to enjoy a book, hot beverage, and cuddling with the dog while it rains outside. ☕️

Just make sure it's a big commune. 1 cat/300 square feet seems to work. Otherwise it gets smelly.

@PlushRumpus@mastodon.art Waaaaaaaaa cute! :3

@WelshPixie

I figured! Even so, your control is excellent. :3
