@cdmnky Yeah... I can remember someone stole from my family's paypal to buy some expensive stuff, and it took at least a couple of weeks for paypal to get us our money back even though the seller was fully cooperating.

@XerTheSquirrel Par for the course, based on what I've heard from an ex-Apple contractor.

climate change hot take

For a while I've been suspecting that some big industrialists want climate change to occur. Why? Because manufacturers of air conditioners and other cooling tech get bigger profits, while electric companies get bigger profits from the increased electricity demand.

There is some proof of this I think though? I remember hearing that a couple months ago, some publication in Britain put out a thing on climate change, listing both the problems and supposed "benefits" of climate change. That alone seems to indicate that some people want it to happen.

@Gulfie Thunderstorms always make me feel good too. I suppose you can say I get a charge out of them ;3

Currently playing Cookie Clicker. The Grandmapocalypse has begun o.o

@Moot Based on what I've heard from a friend who was close with the FA staff, the tech behind FA is far more horrifying than that

@katja@rarf.zone Been doing a bit better than I was a year ago :3

If there's one thing from a video game that I'd like to have in real life, it would be a character creation screen that can be used at any time.

@sinnerhouse Only one I've watched is The Proper People. The two of them do seem to be respectful of the places they explore, having a rule they observe to never damage or take anything. They also don't like it when they encounter vandalism, and sometimes they keep the location of a site secret so as to prevent watchers from going there to vandalize the site.

@jaycie Also, I think I played like four different versions of Sim City 2000, lol. I played the versions for the PC, Mac, SNES, and Playstation

@jaycie I actually played SimAnt once, plus a demo of SimTower. Also think I played SimFarm.
