The attitude of a former friend of mine:

"I had some success writing encryption code in the 80s, so therefor I know more about encryption than anyone even though I retired twenty years ago and stopped paying attention to tech development"

and his attitude later:

"There is no such thing as security. If I'm not an encryption expert, then nobody is."

May or may not be having an electrician coming over this afternoon. The "maybe not" is because we may be having a severe thunderstorm, and its probably best to not do electrical work during one.

climate change hot take

For a while I've been suspecting that some big industrialists want climate change to occur. Why? Because manufacturers of air conditioners and other cooling tech get bigger profits, while electric companies get bigger profits from the increased electricity demand.

There is some proof of this I think though? I remember hearing that a couple months ago, some publication in Britain put out a thing on climate change, listing both the problems and supposed "benefits" of climate change. That alone seems to indicate that some people want it to happen.

Poor memory can sometimes be a mixed blessing. When you've forgotten something, it can sometimes mean that you can enjoy it all over again as if it were new.

micro thoughts

When hugging a micro, gently pick them up in your hand and then softly palm-hug them against your face. This also puts them in ideal range for nuzzling or smooching.

brain hacking, mh +

Been listening this isochronic tone audio track that is supposed to help with one's mood, anxiety, and depression. Seems to have helped a bit, just from playing it in the background.

One of my biggest childhood disappointments in gaming was learning that the Chocolate Island in Super Mario World was not actually made of chocolate ._.

Heads up, there's folks on Discord spreading malware via itch that will take over your Discord account. twitter.com/PeableFlip/status/

The payload and itch URL they use change occasionally but currently the "game" they're sending around is called Sway
