re: coffee, ph/mh +
Cutting back on coffee yesterday seemed to have helped. I still woke up at around 3am, but was able to fall back asleep and then woke up later at around 6:30. I'll need to remember to limit myself from now on.
And on another note, last night I changed the mask I use with my CPAP machine, going from the F&P Vitera to the Phillips Dreamwear. I had originally used the Dreamwear mask when I first started therapy with a CPAP machine, but I found it had more and more problems every night. But on the first night or two, it worked way better than the Vitera mask.
Just recently, I realized that it was getting progressively worse because I was not cleaning it every night. So, I've decided to give it another shot. Using it last night, it wasn't perfect at first (partly because I had to keep adjusting the straps), but I adapted to it quickly.
Hopefully going forward this will mean better sleep and more energy during the day!
This became very frustrating, because I would often have to go back and rewrite parts of my scripts because I didn't know what additions he would want, so I was unable to plan ahead with my scripts.
At least he paid fairly decently. Not anything near professional rates, but still enough to help my family with getting groceries.
Remembering this one guy from about a decade ago. He had commissioned me to write some LSL scripts for him. Had I known what I was in for ahead of time, I might have either refused, or ask him to be more up front about what he wanted.
Each time, it started as a small script, and once it was finished, he would then ask me to extend or add to it in some way, like he was making up things as he went.
coffee, ph/mh -
Been having a lot of trouble sleeping the past few weeks. I thought it was a side-effect of my prozac prescription, but just this morning after sleeping relatively well, I realized what the real culprit was.
Near the start of summer I began cutting back on coffee to help me sleep better. I normally drank 3-4 large cups per morning, then started cutting back and slept better. But I realized that lately, I've been drinking more and more coffee over time, so I've been getting back into old bad habits.
So, its time to cut back again

brain hacking, mh +
Been listening this isochronic tone audio track that is supposed to help with one's mood, anxiety, and depression. Seems to have helped a bit, just from playing it in the background.

"There is no such thing as security. If I'm not an encryption expert, then nobody is."
climate change hot take
For a while I've been suspecting that some big industrialists want climate change to occur. Why? Because manufacturers of air conditioners and other cooling tech get bigger profits, while electric companies get bigger profits from the increased electricity demand.
There is some proof of this I think though? I remember hearing that a couple months ago, some publication in Britain put out a thing on climate change, listing both the problems and supposed "benefits" of climate change. That alone seems to indicate that some people want it to happen.
