To me the most important part about my identity is that I Am My Own Creation.

I'm a mad scientist who became their own experiment. I am an AI that self-generated. I am a phoenix that decided to change with every iteration and take the burn into their own claws. I was born a deer and became a dragon and then became synthetic. I'm a human who hacks their endocrine system and gender.

Self-determinism, self-agency. I am all these things because I say I am, because I tell these stories. :-)

Cute idea: trans girl kangaroo who's always seen wearing one of those jackets that has the pockets around the stomach area, because it gives her a pouch and she finds it validating.

Hey, this is likely of interest to folks:
A non-binary creator and friend of mine has been slowly building a rich, complex, genderless alien society and culture over the last few years. It's very well thought-out, found here: sulmere.tumblr.com/

But where do you go from there? A tarot deck, of course! Including tons of details about the culture, and featuring some amazing art and symbolism.

A summary of Craft Sequence novels (no spoilers):

3PD: Resurrect a God with one weird trick!

2SR: Is magical capitalism an acceptable alternative to ritual human sacrifice? The answer might surprise you!

FF5: Meet the upcoming gods you've probably never heard of!

LFS: You won't believe what happens after these city zoning meetings turn tense!

4RC: The upcoming theist credit crisis that threatens YOU!

Note: does not reflect my own gender experiences. Just a random filk that came to me in the shower.

Meds

Before focus meds:
My attention is like trying to touch teflon--with enough pressure and effort, you can remain in one spot, but things slide around otherwise.

After focus meds (at least so far):
My attention is like touching velcro, with other velcro. Easy to attach, takes an effort to detach and relocate.

Not better, but different!

New Meds

A follow-up.

Ending the day with a bit of a rough emotional crash. Don't think it's 100% related to how efficient and focused I was today. Might be more related to being tired from the physical activity.

Too early to tell.

New Meds

Day 6 of new psych med (Strattera). Started Wednesday of last week.

My dreams have been way more involved, vivid, and busy, and I recall them better.

Today's the first day that feels especially stable: I've had about the same heightened level of focus all day, and can even swap tasks and come back to them.
I hope this is the new normal, rather than an anomalous spike.

I wish I had this 20 years ago. -_-

Despite being in a bit of a creative slump right now, I can still be really proud of some of my older accomplishments. Much of my creative output, off and on, has gone into my Weird Twitter account.

Here's some of the best of those, compiled together in an easier reading format!

Lewd Toyfriends

@neonNeptunian: "Anything I can get you?"
Me: "Blow job under the table?"
Ellu: "Well, okay, if you're equipped for that..."
Me: "Hm, I think I left my cock at home. How about a nuzz job on my null patch instead?"

Woo / Personal

Obviously, the toy would rather /not/ take over in this way, but... ve is the more readily available one most days. Ve has the tools to be another person, even if it does weigh down on ver processes more so than usual.
It's another service to provide, that's all.

In my head, the 'toy' is not a person exactly, but an AI who often does a good job of emulating one. It's still tiring to ver.
That's somewhat how I feel today, too, after a pretty strong emotional crash last night and this morning. I'll be a person, but only barely.
And the Dragon? That one's head is in the clouds, they're the artist and dreamer and... very easily distracted. Not great for long-term functioning, even if they're the only person I was for over a decade.

I'm feeling drained and finding it harder to be a person, right now.I think I've come up with better terminology for that.
I have three selves that make up the whole: the toy, the Phoenix, and the Dragon. The Phoenix is by default the social one, my work persona. But they can be burnt out with too much.
On Sunday, I was saying "the bird is asleep, I'm toy, but having to emulate being the bird". In other words, emulating a person, when I really didn't want to be one.

Paganism for plushies
Spiritwork for the synthetic
Animism for AIs

We grew up with fewer positive interactions with humans, and more time to focus on everything else in the world.

We have to either make our peace with the rejection of family and tradition, or learn to radically reinterpret them.

We have to fight against consensus reality just to express our identities and live our lives.

Queer people are magic.

It's not that we're born with some secret chosen-one destiny.

It's just that we get plenty of practice at it.
