The Orville
@noelle I gotta admit I've been enjoying The Orville, which kind of aggravates me because it's obviously a Seth McFarlane gig and he's an asshole, and I would expect any project of his to be a cavalcade of assholishness but it isn't and GNRGH.
@Silviu do you still play Flight Rising? there's a couple of people I follow who do and have been chatting about it, let me know if you'd like me to introduce you. :)
Hello friends, pals and peers, New Normative, a progressive gaming site I write for, is hiring!
If you are left-leaning and like games I encourage you to go check out http://newnormative.com (or hmu if you're interested in writing for the site!)
(Yes it is a paid gig, the pay isn't great but...)
#jobs - please boost!
@abbenm as a lapsed medical transcriptionist (I *adored* the work, but gave it up when I realized I couldn't make minimum wage doing it), medical terminology books are a wonderland of amusement and horror. great if you're curious about body stuff and not easily squicked; really not great if you have any measure of hypochondria. XD

The firm that commissioned the popular “Fearless Girl” statue in New York’s financial district has agreed to pay $5 million, mostly to settle claims that it discriminated against 305 top female employees by paying them less than men in the same positions.
This seemed much too Mastodon not to repost here.
@starkatt *nodnod* I'm using StartPage too, I've had mostly good experiences with it.
