in the back porch turf war between crows and squirrels, I'm always in favor of the crows. I like watching the crows, and try to feed them preferentially, but anything they can eat the squirrels can too. I don't know why I take the crows' side; part of it is my personal preference for birds in general, part is that I've always felt squirrels are just fluffy-tailed tree rats.
