paper clip game--stuff I don't understand
what does quantum computing do? all it seems to do is eat my operations. and is the "strategic modeling" thing winnable initially, or do I have to wait for the strategies to become available?

@Leucrotta @vahnj that's understandable. :/ and the redwood forests... I do miss them, very much. Seattle has Douglas pines, which are okay, but they *definitely* don't feel the same.

I didn't have any other "big city" experience for comparison (Santa Clara County is definitely a "suburban" experience and a whole different kind of hell), but now that I have Seattle to compare it to, the Bay Area seems... constrained, depressing, anxiety-causing.

well, I've had lunch, done a bit of writing (though not on the project I'm *supposed* to be working on, sorry Loki!), and my butt hurts from sitting on the hard seats here, so I'm heading home. tempted to get one more sweet chai for the road, but I have the same kind of sweet chai at home so I think not.
