Work gripe
@literorrery uuggggh, what a mess. much, much empathy, hon.
dream, transition
@thefishcrow@cybre.space I really *really really* need to look into local top surgeons. I'd pretty much have to do it out of pocket, and find a good practitioner who's willing to take "informed consent" without doing the "but you're not ~really trans~ enough" dance. I think it might help that I'm totally willing to go for reduction instead of complete removal.

@literorrery @Oneironott oooooh, yiiiiiikes. I'd be interested in hearing that story, if you ever decided to share. XD
mild domestic disturbance (neighbors)
yaaaay just heard one of the downstairs neighbors scream-yelling "WHAT'S *WRONG* WITH YOU?" didn't hear anything else, no other screaming or yelling, no thuds or door slams. still, that's... alarming. :|
now there's really loud laughter coming from downstairs, so. 9___9 I hope it's just... "high" spirits if you know what I mean and yeah that's exactly what I mean. :P
uspol, russophobia?
@abbenm @guerrillarain@witches.town yeah, that. completely aside from the current Russian regime finding out that the same tactics work *really well* in their own country, I'm pretty sure what the bots did was just--give the US's core racism, classism, anti-intellectualism, etc. reinforcement and platforms. you can't grow a plant without a seed. the RusBots fertilized and watered, but the KhakiNazis are mostly homegrown. :|

Seattle Trip thoughts: Day -2
@emanate @Oneironott the last time I went to visit Humbolt, I walked out to Trinidad Head--a big rock that sticks out into the ocean--found a good vantage point, and just sat with the ocean for... I don't know, at least an hour. I don't know about the Atlantic, I've never met it, but I know the Pacific has a distinct personality--for me, anyway. <3
Seattle Trip thoughts: Day -2
@Oneironott @emanate one of my high school friends, when I lived in Humboldt County which is right on the Pacific ocean (you could see it from my house), told me he'd met someone on the beach and talked to her a bit. she was from--one of the flat Midwest states, and had never seen the ocean before, and he said she kept trailing off and turning to look at the waves. she said it was "completely overwhelming." I highly recommended the experience! ;)
