Dayjob rant

He comes back and says “Yeah we tried that, they’re slow, do you have any cycles yourself.”

Can you FUCKING IMAGINE someone asking for developer help that way.

“Hello programmer who’s not on our team, please come over and do work for us anyway.”

Gee I wonder if they're doing any better these days about how they look at design as a discipline.

Dayjob rant

Oh lovely. The VP for my old team, which I left because they gave zero shits about design as a discipline (and have continued to do so to the point where the person who joined after me left too) just emailed me saying “Hey we need UX help, do you no anyone who's looking."

I say no, and think (but do not say) how much I would not recommend that team to any designers in the first place. I point him to the core design team, which is how that stuff is supposed to work.

Extremely obscure RPG content/realization

I just realized tonight that Ma-Ha-Suchi is why Garou metis sometimes have horns.

Holy shit.

Tabletop RPG geekery

Variant Werewolf the Apocalypse settings full of furries are Good:

Seattle-pol, historic landmarks, something you can do about it

The historic Showbox music hall (which has just recently turned 79) is scheduled for demolition for some shitty gentrifying apartment blocks.

There's a petition linked in the toot below, I'm not sure if there's anything else you can do about it, I'm guessing you should keep your eyes peeled.

Okay, everyone who was talking about the Werewolf stuff with me last night? Look what you all made me do:

RPG Campaign Idea - Werewolf the Apocalypse

@Thaminga Yeah you're the second person to say that and neither of them are the one I was thinking of when I came up with the idea. XD

RPG Campaign Idea - Werewolf the Apocalypse

@Oneironott Yeah, I can see that. ;) Great thing about this is, I'm imagining the kind of 'band' that's just got sorta a huge rotating mess of folks and a real diverse style; think Omnia or Faun.

RPG Campaign Idea - Werewolf the Apocalypse

Okay like for serious does anyone have any experience with troupe-style RPG campaigns because this feels like a real good setup for those and I kinda really wanna do it and could use someone to talk it out with.

@Leucrotta Yeahyeahyeah, their promoter/booker is totally a Ragabash, not at all a Nuwisha with a preternatural ability to get them gigs where there's Banes badly in need of stomping.

RPG Campaign Idea - Werewolf the Apocalypse

@emanate I mean I already put @neonNeptunian's character in there. ;)

RPG Campaign Idea - Werewolf the Apocalypse

@Ulfra_Wolfe A gong? :D Don't get to play it often but it'd be a heck of a finale.

RPG Campaign Idea - Werewolf the Apocalypse

@Oneironott Like for real I might actually run this? Interesting thing about this sort of setup is, it works REALLY well for troupe (no-fixed-GM) play, which addresses what would be my main problem with it otherwise.

RPG Campaign Idea - Werewolf the Apocalypse

PCs:

- Boisterous Fianna lead singer who always has to be talked out of shifting on stage "just to give the lyrics more punch"

- Child of Gaia drummer who always wants to find a way to work his weird instrument collection into more songs.

- Glass Walker tech guy who argues, out loud, with the pattern spiders in all his gear

- Black Fury bassist, incredibly lesbian, entirely done with everyone else's' nonsense

Proactive werewolf pack that's also a touring folk/punk band. Radically queer, shows full of pol/eco protest songs, staying out after shows to fight whatever monsters the local ecological devastation has spawned.

job search (RTs appreciated)
