werewolves

@vahnj In D&D that's called a wolfwere.

Because of course it is.

Because D&D.

;)

Variant werewolves

No one knows what causes one to be change-hearted; it doesn't run in the blood, or wax and wane wth the moon, or be predictable in any way… other than in the scent that we can catch when near one as-yet-unchanged.

And even then, the Wyld's slipperiness manifests: a wolf's bite is as likely to birth a were-raven or were-bull as another wolf, since the change that takes hold flows along the paths of the new changer's heart, rather than from the one who decided to change them.

Ah, Friday night, such a nice time to relax and veg out to recuperate from a stressful week.

*suddenly finds self obsessively outlining a radically-revisionist Werewolf RPG setting*

...Ooops.

Werewolf lore

With a bit of:

"The City Farmers... believe that not only does city gardening (including growth in underground, indoor, or “found” niches like flower beds) integrate city populations with the power of the Wyld in ways many would not otherwise experience, but that properly done, it can halt urban expansion into what little wilderness still remains pure."

Werewolf lore

"The Urban Primitives struggle to unlock the feral side of the City, diving deep into the spiritual heart of the urban environment to connect with its technological heart-beat. They build tribal societies (both in the Nation and amongst humans) and commune with technology spirits, while decorating themselves with tattoos, piercings, scars, and brandings—embracing neo-ritualism and a retro-modern symbolism that only their camp seems to truly understand."

Yeah so basically us?

@Jssra Combined with the rest of the Mokole context, I think that would be about uncovering and remembering which rules are good and just and right. :)

Toyfolk, please note who the heroes are in this fantasy boardgame...

@Kyna That's EXACTLY what a Ragabash would say. XD

(Or a Bastet TBH)

Everyone is faving this instead. Particularly people who go to the events.

*cut to 2019 when Indi's entire life is basically Werewolf LARP*

This is y'all's fault. XD

@Kyna It was not even an HOUR ago when you said that trickster wasn't fitting for you. XD

I mean the neighbors have already grouched at us once for too much howling. XD

Help now I'm looking at Werewolf Moot outlines and getting ideas for future seasonal gatherings.

Someone stop me please. XD

@Jssra Oh boy this is a whole very cool rabbit hole actually: whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Mokol

(There's also Nagah, but guessing that 'dragon/dino' is more your type :))

@Kyna Technically Bastet don't have auspice in the first place. They have... *looks in book* Pryio, which turns out to be a whole weird different thing. Huh.

"A Pryio is a subtle indicator of a Bastet’s true personality; it determines how the cat approaches life and handles the challenges thrown their way. While it is often determined by the time of day in which the Bastet achieved her First Change, Pryio can shift if the Bastet undergoes a severe life change."

@Jssra Scaley-types have their own set of auspices though. ^.^

@Kyna @Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town I'm torn between statting myself out as Nuwisha or just Ragabash Garou myself.

Though I'm looking at these new Nuwisha gifts in W20 and they're SO GOOD.

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town @Kyna Yeah, Rage is pretty cheap to buy up during character creation. XD

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town @Kyna @Thaminga @Oneironott Dang, yeah, it seems like we're getting notably more No-Moons than anything else. Weird. o.o;
