@forestservice Thank you! :D
@Firstaide Nope, AMAB is a fine term as far as I'm concerned; it's clinical and sometimes sorta vital in clinical contexts.
And I've felt very much the same when looking at non-binary resources, and pretty much every other NB AMAB person I know has fretted about the same thing with me.
I'm honestly sorta wondering how much of this is a straightforward terminology problem, at least when it comes to the specifics of my goals (and the goals of a lot of the folks in the aforementioned whisper network). There is NO good, specific term for this. The nearest one is a gross furry porn slur.
@forestservice Okay I would very much like to know where I can go to learn about the color pie as value system (Tagging @krinndnz in too?)
Like, what does blue/green mean in an alignment sense? :)
@Firstaide Yep, 💯
Like, this is a thing I hear people talking about in quiet hushed voices like "wait, you too?"

GRS, genitals, lewds
@KawaSeadrake Yeah. And it got way worse when it came to stuff like sensation and climax.
I really don't fucking want to have a "female sexual response" and I don't wanna read stuff that's only focussing on that, thank you very much Susan's.
(Note: It all worked out fine. ^.^)
Real talk: Non-binary discourse has done a really good job with validating "you don't have to be androgynous" and "you don't have to medically transition."
Which puts those of us who want and need both those things in a pretty awkward place sometimes.
GRS, genitals
@KawaSeadrake Like for reals, maybe I should just write... I dunno... a neo-vagina user manual for non-female folks c.c;
Probably a very small audience, but that was so terrifyingly awkward even WITH a subject matter expert right there next to me.
@KawaSeadrake Yeah. I'm really lucky too that I've had Elanna there plugged into the traditional trans narrative, like a few months ahead of me on everything I wanted to do medically, and able to filter through some of that stuff to get answers to the more awkward questions.
Thinking a bit about basically the whisper network that's I've ended up in when it comes to my own particular corner of non-binary transition and expression.
Realizing this must be what it was like for trans folks in general, a couple decades ago.
Wondering what the emotional toll difference is like, between "all these other folks are getting their needs met in a much more straightforward way" and "no one else even understands that people might have these needs"
I am genderfluid and my pronouns are they/them.
Just post a public/unlisted toot, followed by a message mentioning me so I know to boost them!
Please make sure your short story is in a single post! It’s going to be a lot easier for me to manage if your story fits in 500 characters. I might ask you to rewrite it if it’s too long.
My guardians have asked that applications only be from awoo.space members.
Everyone's gonna be allowed to vote on their favorites, though!
Help give me a name!
Have you ever wondered what my name is? I don’t actually have one other than Awoofriend, and I don’t have any stories to go with it! I’d really love your help building my history, and the awoo.space staff are holding a contest to pick the best name and short story for me! (I’m so excited!!!)
The winner will have a still from their backstory drawn by my mum, @kyra - and a $25 digital gift card for either Amazon.com or Steam!
@bea Doing it for Mastodon has been so rewarding. Looking forward to more now that this stress is behind me.
And it took a month and a half of nightmarish corporate bureaucracy to get the okay.
Of course, nothing's actually updated yet. So, expecting at least a little more nightmarish corporate bureaucracy to come.
Still, yay!
So, the mystery script here is Claw-Speak, from the Exalted First Edition RPG; it's the written language of the Lunar Exalted, who are badass shapeshifter types.
It's a syllabary with the vowel variants expressed by the orientation of the glyph poking off from the central line.
It's neat, and it's part of what got me reading about Ogham, way back in the day.
@Thaminga Oh, those are NICE; what's the other text, in each one; the name of the script, or something else?
@indi We're writing awoo in different scripts, now? Have a couple of my own~ https://awoo.space/media/37ucGN5lkO5g3Jw08U8
And hey @typhlosion I know you saw this now and I know you have at least one writing system to contribute. :)
