@Oneironott So, someone I know @frameacloud I think?) once shared an observation that many trans women identify with robots, and many trans men identify with werewolves, which makes a sort of strange intuitive sense, considering how the transition paths are constructed, socially.
So obviously that means enbies would be ROBOT WEREWOLVES. :D
a gentle reminder (+)
The light and green are returning. Slowly, almost imperceptibly, but it is happening.
Hang in there. You can make it through the long dark.

@zebratron2084 You got it. 💜 They'll be there waiting for you. They may even have multiplied in the meantime.
@zebratron2084 I care about you a lot. *hugs on standing offer for whenever you're ready for them* 💜
transitioning(?)
@Ratttz Oh wow cool, good luck! HMU if you want someone to talk to about "indeterminate gender goblin"/boy-but-different-hormone thoughts/troubles. :)
@vahnj Absolutely. :)
@vahnj That's how I look at it (and, e.g. Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, same thing, years earlier, not to mention RHPS)
Like, you have to view all these things in context, and accept that they were helpful for folks at the time, but at the same time is has to be okay for them to be UNHELPFUL for folks now.
Context is everything. The more context the better.
@vahnj (And we were all so desperate for 'representative' media that we ate it up anyway. Uuuugh)
@vahnj Yeah they are. Yay, the 90's, when that was apparently a super-okay thing to do. >.<
@Oneironott Yaaaay welcome! :D :D :D I will see you tomorrow I hope!
@polychrome@witches.town @mawr
I like to think we can treat all of these as 'you can' rather than 'you should'.
The "if you're not spending X hours configuring it, you're not Committed To It" (enforced by 'helpful' amateur-tech-support folks and self-deprecating question-askers alike) turned me off of Linux culture a decade ago and it makes me uncomfy everywhere I see it now. ✨
Sexy-RP gripe
*gets convinced to go out in public on Tapestries MUCK with a variant gender setting, because it might get more folks more interested*
*gets whispered to immediately....
...By someone of the gender presentation I'm usually not interested in (as stated clearly in my preferences), who seems to want me, an obvious subby toy, to dom her*
Cool, rad, this is working great. :P
@literorrery Yikes. My sympathies. >.<
So has anyone else ever experienced like, I'm not sure what to call it other than reverse sense memory?
Many years ago, back in college, I spilled an entire condiment cup of soy sauce all across my laptop keyboard. Fixing it involved a harrowing disassembly and it never fully recovered, and also forever after smelled of dried soy sauce. :P
I just spilled a cup of water all over my work laptop. Fortunately, this computer is a lot more resilient. Unfortunately, I KEEP SMELLING SOY SAUCE. O.o
@anthracite Oh wow, that looks rad, and also, oddly enough, might reasonably be a illustration of a non-anthro version of my first Puzzlebox character. XD
Design Thinking about sexuality in communities | Ramble 3/3
@BatElite This is actually all really helpful to hear, and thank you very much for sharing it. It sounds like what you're saying here is how starting the conversation is one of the hardest parts, which seems to be something a lot of folks feel, but often in very different ways. One thing I really want to do is just try to make that step easier.
Thank you, again, for all this. :)
shitpost
Surely you men FURginia Folf. *hides*
@zebratron2084 @mawr @Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Oh wow I'm flattered you still remember that. ^.^; That was just a Spirit of the Century one-shot, so, very pulp-adventure. :)
ambivalent sexuality musings
@Kistaro BIG MOOD here, and it gets particularly complicated for me when it does correlate to Earth genders... BUT ONLY SOMETIMES. >.<
